Uniform Studies of the Royal Fuziliers
1775 - 1781

During its time in America, the Royal Fuziliers saw several changes to their uniforms and equipment.  Some changes were due to adaptations for campaigning and season, while others were due to losses and capture.  The below pages attempt to interpret the known variations throughout the war based on documentary evidence.  [pages are always being added!]

The reconstructions are based upon period artwork, extant uniforms and equipment, orderly books, and Lord Robert Bertie's Papers in the Downshire Papers Collection.
